I feel good

So I went to the GYM Yesterday and Today @545A --talk about determination.
In My quest to loose 10 more lbs I must be Focus.
The plan is 30min on the thread Mill then ABS exercise M-F No matter what.
It is going to be hard but I think I could do it. I have hired a free Personal Trainer, I think we will work well together

Also I have become a master at Making California Rolls, I'm becoming an Asian chef:

This what I can make:

  • Shrimp Tempura
  • Scallion Pancakes
  • Sushi
  • Asian Fried Rice

So far I can attribute my success to Bananas and Yogurt.

So to WarmBread When I come to Cali in July We are going to the BEACH!

Totally diet unrelated.
Why is it that when you try to cancel your service, it takes forever.
So I just cancelled my Home Phone service, that I never used...in a matter of 2s they sent me 4 emails requesting their 39.99 cancellation fee.
They will get it $5 at a time...I'm switching to REBTEL ...
No $14.99
$0.15 to call cameroon instead of $0.23...
I should save money on the long run

GYM = day 1

So I actually spent a whole 30 min on the elliptical machine. I am proud of my self.
And let me tell you a new pair of sneakers makes a difference, by the end I must admit that my foot was little numb but I kept going :)
Pretty soon I will post a pic of my new sneakers.
By next week, I am hoping I will be on the elliptical for 45 min -- Since I won't have premium cable starting Saturday, I might as well spend my time at the gym!

So I started the healthy eating after a week of Non-sense.
Suprisingly I was 164.8lbs on Sunday before work...then I ate a  pack of cookies :)
So i'm scared to step on a scale.

So what did I eat Today?
Breakfast: 250 cal Yogurt
Lunch: BBQ chicken breast/Giant orange
Dinner: ...Hoping for a grilled chicken salad... wish me luck!
Snack::::::A Whole bunch of Lifesavers...Someone plz Help I'm addicted

Drinks: Water/tea [at this point it is obvious that I only drink water and tea so I will stop mentionning it Unless of course I get a mixed drink at the club :)]

I am pround to say that I spent 30 min on the BIKE yesterday...Baby steps!

and I even went this morning Thursday for 27min and planning on going tonite for another 30 minutes! wish me luck

Thou Shall Not Buy Wheat Thins!

So Tuesday, was pretty Ok. Even though I forgot my piece of fruit, one of my co-workers even a free tangerine.


what did I eat tuesday
B: Oatmeal
L: Asian sensation 310 cal frozen meal/tangerine
D: salad/turkey meat/asian sesame dressing light
Drinks: Tea/water
Snacks: 1 chocole fruit/1 nutrigrain/popcorn .... Lot n lots of Nutrigrain after Dinner.

so I went to the store yesterday to stock up on some fruits/salad/carrots/wheat bread and Wheat thins. I mean they are wheat thins they can't be that bad. Oh yes they can be after you eat alot, it can add up very easily
[16 pieces *150 cals * # of pieces = too many cals]
I think I ate about 50... :(

So today I left the box home! I will only pack 8 pieces if I want some --- 75 cals--- plus the box will last forever.

Monday 1-12-09

I have learned so far that, in order to eat healthy in this country, you must travel with food. I mean everywhere you go, you need to have your own food with you. Today I forgot my fruits. I told myself no problemo, i'll just go to the caf at lunch time to buy an overpriced piece of fruits... Only to find out that they DO NOT CARRY FRUITS!!!!! how is that possible...

anyway, this is what I ate Monday!
B: 2 nutrigrain/tea
L: rice/stew/chicken/banana
D: usual sandwich/this time w/ 2 slice of tomatoes and black pepper toasted on GEORGE.. Yummy
Snack: apple, 1 LF, 2 Lindt chocolate balls, 1 lil chocolate fruits..
Right after I resisted DD my supervisor, came in w/ a bag full of goodies... I mean I am happy that I only had so little. She brought all the xmas goodies from home...et voila! I had to eat some.

So in THE BEGGINING I did not have goals...

Now I do 20lbs by July 5th, 2009 ~ 25 Weeks about 1lb/week.

So the update for week 1

Today: 169.4 lbs 5"2(51)' --- I feel taller already
Weight Loss: 1.6 lbs
Height Gained 0.01 inch
Analysis:
  • Stay away from fried food it works
  • Stop eating uneccessary cake
  • Drinking water works
  • I need more time on a bike/elliptical/dancing/something!

Everyboby Runs on DUNKIN?

Dunkin Donuts is the Devil on Earth --> well to my skinny Journey
My work place is constantly working against me.
Example: Every monday a drug rep brings
  • A box of Joe: Giant coffee container
  • Dozen donuts
  • Dozen bagels w/out light cream cheese

Anyway lets just say that before I used to drink the coffee and eat 3/4 of a bagel w/ chive cream cheese.

Today I walked pass the Dunkin Donuts Fiesta and said you are the devil... as I was drinking my sugarless mint TEA.

My life does not run on Dunkin!

My Meals

I hate frozen packaged food... I hate frozen packaged food
I know everyone is about the lean cuisine...but the rice is always soft and the meat is always 'sans gout'.

So I took it upon my self to make Vanessa's Lean Cuisine -- VLC. I cooked a couple of meals and decided to just freeze it and eat it over the week. It taste way better than Lean Cuisine.
I made some Wednesday and Saturday...

These are the meals I made:

Pasta|Chicken|olives| chicken or shrimp
Rice|stew|chicken
Pasta|Vegetables|beef|olive oil stir fry

I have about 10 tupperwares to go thru. I store them at my place of employment freezer, since usually work every day of the week.

Anyway now I don't have to go thru the hassle of what am I going to eat today and I save money.  I do have to admit that I put too much pasta and rice; but next time I will pull out the measuring cup to make sure I only have 1/2 cup.

In the course of making these meals, I realized that I like Asian sauces (sesame ginger, sweet n sour, teryaki...) , I even have Asian Sesame salad dressing. I also love green peppers, onions, carrots and Zucchini but the problem is that they just cost too much at the store. I need to find time to go the market, buy a whole bunch and freeze it. Finding time is the hardest thing to say the least.

Anyway I am not on diet. I just decided to drink water, exercise more and not have big meals after 7PM.

The Weekend ending 1.12.09

Let's Just say that the weekend did not go as well as it should have. 

What did I eat Saturday?
B: Tea, decaf coffee, croissant
L: Potatoes/green beans/chicken
D: Mashed potatoes/chicken Parm {home made}
Snack: pop cord; tiny piece of cake; 3 small crepes/3 nuttella/apricot jam; 1 lil thai food boiled
Drinks: water/1 giant glass wine

So Saturday was good until I got home about 7 P.M and some friends decided to come over for game night and requested crepes. So Since I am the Crepes Master I said :sure: little did I know that as soon I finished making them, I will be tempted to eat them. So I did. The pround thing is I resisted FRIED CHICKEN!
I ate some of them after 7pm
As for the wine; after we made it clear that we will only drink water...this SKINNY ONE [SO] walked in with the wine in her hand... and the rest is history.

I have a very low tolerance for alcohol, so after everyone left because of the snow storm...I quickly passed out on my bed.

Sunday I woke up and felt really bad, about saturday. So I woke up when on the Bike in my lil corner gym for 15min... Now let me just say that those bike seats are the most uncomfortable things ever... How do people seat on it for hours???? Anyway I'm off to a good start with this exercise thing.

So what did I eat Sunday
B: 1 Banana/granola bar/tea
L: Chicken Parm/potatoes/asparagus/1 apple
D: regular sandwich @ 9PM... I got out of work; went to the hospital; picked up a friend et voila il etait deja 21h.
Snack: 2 red starbucks

I guess today concludes my first week. It is not easy, but I must keep going.

Thursday 1/8/9

Thursday was better than wednesday. I struggle all day attempting to go the gym, but HELAS! I was unsuccesful. I was so tired by the time I got home after work...but I know some of you are thinking ... how the heck did she ever make it to the step practice 4 times/ week? I have no idea.
BTW I'm not looking forward to step practice, but I know that day is coming back soon.

Like I said before, Thursday was better I even had a fruit as suggested by WarmBread!
What did I eat then?

L: Potatoes/green beens/boiled chicken + 1 orange
D: Sandwich/cheese/salami

wednesday 1/7/8

Let's just say that Wednesday did not go as planned. The number one thing that makes it difficult to eat healthy at work is --- co-workers who do not eat healthy, they always buy the food you clearly know you can eat...

So what did I eat today?
Breakfast: Tea + 2 Granola Bars
Lunch: Lean cuisine shrimp alfredo
Dinner: Salami/cheese/wheat bread + 1/2 halves of potates
Snack: 4 life savers, 10 peanut MMs, 4 olives
Killer:
tiny tiny tiny tiny portion of my left over Birthday Cake that everyone else seems to be enjoying except for me

popcorn dilemma

so earlier i did say that i was having popcorn as snack. What i didn't say was that i was planning on making it at my second job...
let me just say that i did not get to enjoy my popcorn... instructions said put the popcorn in microwave for 3min i was being smart and did 2.5min and stopped it at 2min...result i got
Burnt popcorn
y is it that thepopcorn makers always give u the wrong instruction ... cuz everybrand always says to pop for three and u all know that it will burned..
1 pack wasted 9 more to go [100 cal pack = 900 cal worth of popcorn]

i can now blog thru my samsung I320 ... yea! gotta love technology

Tuesday 1/5/09

I have two Jobs!
Every Tuesday I work both of them...except for Tuesday January 20th, 2009 [do you need an explanation?]
I get out of one at 4:30P and start the other at 6:00P, Usually I kill that hour by visiting my friend at work or just run errands. Today, since I now have this blog thing going on, I decided to go ahead and publish what I ate for the day.

So what did I eat today??
B: 1 yogurt, 1 apple cinnamon oatmeal
L: 2 beef patties and 1 Banana
D: salami/cheese /whole wheat sandwich /Banana
Snack: 1 granola bar, 6 life savers ( I have a whole bag that I must finish!), 100 cal pop corn bag
Drink: Water and Tea

I do not believe in wasting food, heck this is a recession year...so every now and then I will have to eat what I have already home...so bare with me.

I still have not set a goal weight!

I must wake up at 6am tomorrow to go to the gym. Wish me luck!

The beggining

Getting ready for 09 meant that I would eat everything and anything I wanted (french fries).
Finally 09 is here I decided that this time i'm going to do it right.
So and 2.5 friends + 0.5 friend (who doesn't diet) decided to watch what we eat.
So these are the rules
  1. Water only (although I love coffee)
  2. No more fried food (sucker for French fries and fried plantains)
  3. No heavy food after 7PM
  4. 2 hr minimum of cardio

So one will say that this sounds a lil harsh, but I will say no.

So basically, this regimen started on monday Jan 5th, 2009 after we all indulge on good food and drinks on saturday :)

Because I was going to start emailing someone everyday, she suggested starting a blog instead. So here it goes [I hate writing BTW]

These are my stats...

Height: 5"25

Weight: 171 lbs {according to my cheap no good scale, i could really be 150}

Goal: to be 5"6 and 115lbs

The diary begins

Monday 1/5

BKFST: chocolate milk, lifesavers, coffee

Lunch: chicken Noodle soup

Dinner: Turkey Sandwich/Orange/Water

I had to have the lifesavers because I was feeling dizzy---HYPOGLYCEMIA--- you just don't go from eating a high sugar cinnamon toast crunch w/ whole milk to JUST MILK...

So here it is...I started... I'll give you the new stats at the end of each week...
